Corns: the problem you shouldn’t ignore 👂🙉 Corns are caused by pressure and friction – not a lack of plasters. Corn plasters often contain acids that burn healthy skin, increase pain, and can worsen the problem, particularly if circulation or skin integrity is compromised. This is why podiatrists do not recommend them. If a corn keeps coming back, it’s a sign something else needs addressing: ✔ pressure points ✔ footwear issues ✔ foot mechanics A proper assessment allows safe removal and treatment of the cause – not just the symptom.
